What it is
Irish Moss Drink is a traditional Caribbean-style “sea moss milk drink” blended with warm spices and vanilla. It’s creamy, lightly sweet, and usually served cold.
Ingredients (1 large glass)
- 4 tbsp sea moss gel (or up to 1/3 cup for a thicker drink)
- 250ml almond milk (or coconut milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Sweetener to taste (maple syrup, agave, or honey if you use it)
Instructions
- Add sea moss gel and milk to a blender.
- Add vanilla, spices, and sweetener.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness.
- Serve chilled (or over ice).
Tips
- Too thick: add a splash more milk and re-blend.
- Extra traditional vibe: a tiny pinch more nutmeg on top before serving.
- If you’re using raw sea moss instead of gel, prepare it into gel first (clean + soak + blend), then use the gel in this recipe.
